Would you like to join the AwesomeDoodle crew, but maybe you’re not yet ready to have puppies in your own home? A “guardian” family isn’t really a good word for it, guardian family owns an AwesomeDoodle mommy or daddy. You keep your dog and care for it, just like any other dog. However your dog would go to the home of an AwesomeDoodle crew partner, about once a month to visit and get comfortable in their home too.
This allows your dog to get ALL the attention from their furever home family, plus get to go to another home to have puppies, (or be a stud). Not only does a guardian family get a PREMIUM dog that would be otherwise, near impossible to get, they also get a portion of the fees from the puppies they produce. It’s a win win agreement (and you’ll get free dog sitting too).
How it works:
AwesomeDoodle finds a poodle or an Australian Shepherd we want to add to our line up of moms or dads. We adopt the puppy and raise it for a couple months IN OUR HOME. We train it, help shape it’s behaviors, and teach it good manners. After that, the dog will get several visits from you, the guardian. Once the dog is comfortable with you, and everything is just right, then you will pay for the dog, sign our guardian agreement, and take the dog home.
The guardian family is responsible for all regular vet visits, food, and all expenses for the dog. AwesomeDoodle is responsible for any pregnancy or health testing related expenses.
AwesomeDoodle will get the dog about once a month, to ensure the dog stays comfortable at the partner’s home. When it comes time to breed, the guardian home is responsible to meet the crew member with their dog for mating. About 2 weeks before puppies come, mom will go to the crew member’s home and stay for 10 weeks. This is the hardest part about being a guardian family; being without your girl for 8-10 weeks. But you’re welcome to come visit and see the puppies. When it’s time for the dog to stop making AwesomeDoodles, we will pay for the dog to be spayed or neutered, and then the dog is yours for life.
How to qualify:
To qualify to be a guardian home, you must:
1. Live within 2 hours of any of our partners.
2. Pay the full fee for your puppy.
3. Be willing to be without your dog when it’s at our home raising her puppies.

Dixie is available now to a home within one two hours of Bryan, Oh. Dixie is one of our tiniest AwesomeDoodle soon to be mamas. If there is one word to describe her, it's spunky. She has 3 older doggie siblings in the house, Zinnie, another of our mamas, weighs 45 pounds and two Old English Sheepdogs who each weigh 80-90 pounds. At 10 pounds, Dixie keeps them all in check. What she lacks in size, she more than makes up for in speed, agility, and stamina. She runs circles around them. Even [read more]

Michael and Lois raise AussieDoodle puppies in Wethersfield, Connecticut. "We and have fallen in love with how Awesomedoodle raises puppies." Michael is in Construction and Lois is a Realtor who works from home. While searching breeders, we came across Awesomedoodle and immediately knew we had to have our furever family dog from them. We immediately got on the list and quickly became addicted to the Puppy Cam. We couldn’t get enough of the Puppy Cam that consumed every spare moment, watching, waiting and wondering what our future Awesomedoodle would look like. As the weeks and months went by and [read more]
Rebecca raises AussieDoodle puppies near Minneapolis, in a small city called Eau Claire, Wisconsin. She is married, has a daughter and two beautiful Aussies. She's a part time Dental Assistant, a full time mom, and webmaster for AwesomeDoodle. Rebecca and her family like to hike, bike, camp, fish, canoe, ski, snowshoe, and her dogs go with her. Every weekend is an adventure. "I love to garden as much as I can, during the 6 months of warm weather we get in this region. I call it my "vegetable jungle". Nutrition is a priority for me [read more]
Jennifer raises her Toy AussieDoodle puppies in Atlanta, GA. Jennifer is very active on the AwesomeDoodle crew, not only raising some of the best toy size AussieDoodle Puppies, but also helping the AwesomeDoodle group by helping us form new policies and procedures. To say that Jennifer is “consumed” with raising her puppies, is an understatement. Her videos are amazing as she updates you weekly on the health, vigor, and blossoming personalities of your puppy. Her photos are some of our best, and you’ll be waiting on pins and needles every week [read more]
Shannon has a passion for dogs. She calls herself the “dog mom.” She wanted to wear her “dog mom” hat, for this photo, but I refused. Shannon isn’t your typical dog breeder. A pathologist, a mother of 5, and master of 4 dogs, is just the start. She is “obsessed” with learning about genetics in dogs. Everything from breed specific health issues and how studying them can sometimes help diagnose human disease (it happens!), to behavior traits and color genetics. She’s trying hard to crack the color code to help us determine what colors of mommies and daddies will [read more]
Susan raises her AussieDoodles in Louisville, KY, just 90 minutes from Cincinnati, OH. Susan isn’t just part of the AwesomeDoodle Family, she has her own AwesomeDoodle from Winnie X Ares. Sophie is one of the most popular dogs on our website, as she is the star of several training videos. Susan lives just a mile from Tom, practically in the same neighborhood. Susan’s passion for her dogs is apparent as soon as you walk in her house. She has 3 dogs, but only one will be an AwesomeDoodle mom. Susan is a retired nurse and [read more]
Diane and Morgan raise their toy and mini size AussieDoodles in Louisville, KY. Their puppies are some of our most wanted, because of the extra time they spend in the puppy box, handling the pups. When I (Tom) first saw Morgan in our neighborhood (in Louisville), walking her dog on a "loose leash," I asked her if she was a dog trainer. She said, "No, I just like walking dogs." Then I asked her what high school she goes to, and if she would like a job walking dogs. She replied, "Yes but I'm in 8th grade and I'll [read more]
Erin raises her AussieDoodle Puppies in Kentucky. But Erin doesn't just raise the most affectionate AussieDoodles, she also works behind the scenes with AwesomeDoodle. Without Erin, you might not even get the right AussieDoodle puppy you bought. LOL. She coordinates puppy pick ups, payments, and helps manage all our partners. Erin personally replies to our more difficult puppy inquiries, even when she's on vacation with her husband and two kids, Kendall and Garrett. She also keeps track of deposits and our waiting list, and in general keeps the wheels turning at AwesomeDoodle. You could call her the "manager" of [read more]
