Congrats to Alexzandra
“I thought it would be good to send some positive Quinn news! Other than her crazy biting bursts, she has adjusted really well to life in Chicago! EVERYONE loves her- from the pizza delivery guy to our friends and family. She is absolutely adorable. Her training is going well, she already knows her name, watch me, sit, down, follow me, and off (when she jumps on us or the furniture). Training her has been really fun and she learns so quickly! We joke that her next toy will be an abacus. Since we don’t have a backyard we have been using a combination of walks and pee pads for those times when she has got to go but doesn’t know how to tell us yet, and she’s awesome- barely any accidents! Sometimes she will pee next to the pad, but that’s ok because we know the intent was there!
She will usually sleep for a good 6 hours in her crate at night, going to sleep is still a bit of a challenge she is resistant to her crate at bedtime, but each day she whines a little less. She was an early riser the first week home but has adjusted to our schedule now and wakes up around 6:30am usually right before our alarms! She is still very tiny but in my eyes has grown so much! We have our second vet visit in about a week once she reaches 10 weeks old, and I’m anxious to see how much she weighs! She is also obsessed with belly rubs, they are hands down her favorite thing, as soon as we start to pet her she is on her back as fast as possible.” Alexzandra
