Dear Awesomedoodle family,
Stockton slept all night without a peep, and awoke at 730am. The kids, grandkids, and great grandkids all came over this afternoon to meet Stockton. I don’t think Stockton will ever meet a stranger… he was fantastic with over 15 kids. My property has always had a significant amount of spontaneous visitors, but the words about Stockton’s homecoming spread fast.
Stockton had a terrific Vet check this morning. Then it was a Social event all day, with neighbors, friends and family dropping by… I anticipate for the next two weeks, Stockton will have to play host. Although, he gets excited about meeting all these dog lovers, I was very impressed how quickly he could calm down at his age.
I wanted to thank you all, Jordan, Tom, Sharon, and my buddy Erin for giving a gift our large family needed after 3 Family members’ deaths this past two months… my niece, my aunt, and our grandfather. We are a very close family with many strong bonds, but the intensity of sadness in such a short time was overwhelming… the happy journey in watching Stockton from week one had really helped speed up the mourning process for the entire family. We have always had a family dog, only one at a time, and it is always tough to match another dog against the previous family dog. But, with your Awesomedoodle philosophy, heartwarming guidance, and all your expert raising of Einstein puppies… we all look forward to many fun years with Stockton (who was named after our great grandfather).
He has been successfully introduced to our horses, sheep, lambs, pigs, goats, chickens, and barn cat. I must admit, I thought it would take a few weeks to slowly introduce Stockton. But It was Stockton who wanted to wag his tail at all the critters around the property… he gave a horse a lick in his forehead, attempted to play with the roosters, gently played with the cat, frolicked with the new baby lambs (3 week old), sat curiously studying the pigs, and He tried to coax the baby goats to play with him… I can go on…
With all that said, sigh…
Our sincere Thank you.
We look forward to Continuing with the Awesomedoodle family. -Rich
Congrats to Rich and his family on their new boy Stockton!
Stockton is a stunning red merle male puppy with a partial white collar, a big white belly and high contrast markings. Don’t you just love the white spot on his forehead and the white around his nose? His sister Star has those same markings! It is adorable. He is unique, but we think he will look almost like a mix of Kali and Walnut.
Size: We estimate Pepper X Champ puppies to be between 10-20 lbs full grown.
