We completed all of Mia’s vaccinations by Feb 17. She is doing awesome and we are almost settled down. The biggest plus point that we had was that she doesn’t bite anyone at all. She picked this up very early and never tried biting or nipping anyone including my son Ishan. Even going through the stages of having baby tooth falling off we did not face any issues. People won’t believe when I say that I have NOT experienced nipping at all. We give her bully stick every day for like 30 mins, but she is not really an aggressive chewer.
We are almost potty trained. She holds potty during the night (I create her at 8:30 and she doesn’t disturb anyone till 6AM) and her poop was always outside from the get go.
We are working on not getting excited when Mia sees people & kids. Mia wants everyone to pet her and she cannot control herself when she sees people. I am trying to teach her to be on all 4 legs. She also pees sometimes due to excitement when we have people coming over. We are seeing improvements finally but not really there yet.
We go for walks almost every day in the evening and exercise is mainly fetch either on a long leash or indoors. We are working on leash habits, she doesn’t pull much but this is one area i want her to be perfect at :-).
We have started to try frisbee but she is yet to get a hang of it. She does the normal things like sit, wait, down etc. She waits for her treats and her food till she gets a ‘Go’ command. We are still sticking to the Puppy food that she started with. We have tried different types of treats and also fruit portions like Apple, Blueberries etc.
People want to pet her coz she looks sooo cute :-). – Sandeep
Mia is a Red Merle female Aussiedoodle with dramatic facial markings, almost a marbled look on the sides of her snout. So gorgeous. Look at the rich coloring on top of her head. We love how her ears are multi-colored. We think she will resemble Walnut when she grows up. Congratulations to Sandeep and family for choosing this little cherub!
